Annenberg/CPB is a satellite channel for schools, colleges, libraries, public broadcasting stations, public access channels, and other community agencies. It airs an extraordinary range of teacher professional development and instructional programs funded by Annenberg/CPB. The WISE Channel is licensed to cablecast all programs that air on the Annenberg/CPB Channel. A copy of the Annenberg/CPB Annual Report can be viewed on-line. Video on Demand Available


Education News Parents Can Use is a video series produced by the U.S. Department of Education about ways to ensure children's educational success. Each series focuses on schools, learning, and the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Program topics include subjects such as reading, technology, school safety, special education, and preparing for college. Features include: viewer call-ins, lively discussions, one-on-one interviews, "how-to" demonstrations, video and graphics, and brief conversations with parents, educators, community, business and religious leaders, and education experts. Education News targets an informed citizenry - parents, educators and anyone with general knowledge of and strong interest in education. The WISE Channel is licensed to cablecast all episodes of the ongoing series. Video on Demand Available


Classic Arts Showcase is a television program designed to bring the classic arts experience to the largest audience possible by providing video clips of the arts in hopes that we may tempt you, the viewer, to go out and feast from the buffet of arts available in your community. Think of us as "Classic MTV". The WISE Channel is licensed to cablecast all programs that air on the Classic Arts Showcase.

School Board Programming allows viewers to watch the Knox County School Board in action - including live and recast school board meetings and school board workshops. Video on Demand Available


The Knox County School System is committed to providing those educational experiences that develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required for living in our democratic society. The instructional program is based on system-wide goals identified through a community-based needs assessment. The goals are implemented in all schools through system-wide curricula for all subject areas. Working cooperatively with the Public Affairs Office of the Knox County School System, Community Television of Knoxville is pleased to present The WISE Channel.
